BELIZE AGGRESSOR IV (formerly Sun Dancer): Itinerary

SAMPLE ITINERARY on the BELIZE AGGRESSOR IV --

Saturday: Arrive Belize City International Airport Saturday afternoon. Transfers between the airport & BELIZE AGGRESSOR IV will be provided. Boarding of BELIZE AGGRESSOR IV begins at 4:00 pm. Each guest will check in with the hostess & is then escorted to their stateroom. The boat will usually leave from the dock at the Fort George Radisson Resort at approx. 5:00 pm to moor at Turneffe Island or Lighthouse Reef. Dinner is provided onboard at approx. 6:30 pm. An orientation slide show is presented after dinner. Guests may retire at their leisure after the orientation.

Sunday to Thursday: Most guests will do up to five dives per day between our first morning dive & when the dive deck closes after the night dive. A dive bell is rung to signal the start of a dive briefing on the Main Deck. The vessel will usually move two or three times per day. Breakfast, lunch, dinner & after-dive snacks are provided each day. Slide presentations are scheduled in the evenings throughout the charter. Dives sites usually include Blue Hole & others on Lighthouse Reef & Turneffe Islands depending on weather conditions. Lunches may be packed for shore excursions to Half Moon Caye on one day. This is an excellent opportunity for beach combing & to see the wonderful Red Footed Booby Birds of Half Moon Caye, so bring your binoculars & cameras. You'll love the scenery.

Friday: One early morning dive (starting at 6:00 am) is scheduled before returning to port in the afternoon (usually between noon & 2:00 pm). Breakfast & lunch are provided on board. Arrangements can be made from the vessel if guests wish to schedule a half-day inland tour when returning to port. An informal dinner is prepared on board at approx. 6:00 pm or guests may elect to visit one of Belize City's local restaurants at their own expense.

Saturday: Continental breakfast is available at 7:00 am. Disembarkation is at 8:00 am for all guests. Transfers to the airport are provided. Guests who are scheduled on a later flight may enjoy spending a few hours in town before returning to the airport.

TOP DIVE SITES VISITED by the AGGRESSOR FLEET's BELIZE AGGRESSOR IV:
There are three atolls located offshore beyond the barrier. The most famous of the atolls is Lighthouse Reef, which is the location of the Blue Hole & the magnificent nature preserve at Half Moon Cay.

The world-famous Blue Hole is an encounter with huge stalactites formed thousands of years ago. Measuring about 1,000 feet in diameter & more than 400 feet deep, you can dive among the stalactites at a depth of 110 to 130 feet. This is a very memorable dive; one you will be telling friends about for many years to come.
At Half Moon Caye Wall, Hawksbill turtles & Spotted Eagle Rays are regular sights & there are some of the most spectacular sponge formations found anywhere.
The Elbow, located on Turneffe Islands Atoll is one of Belize's most exciting & fish filled dive experiences. Enormous schools of jacks are often sighted in the blue water.
Along the shallow side of a mid-reef at southern Turneffe is The Sayonara, a broken up shipwreck of a small island freighter. The Sayonara is an excellent site for seeing a variety of marine life, including the rare Lined Toadfish found only in Belize.
At Aquarium, very large Black Groupers, Green Morays, Caribbean Octopus & Midnight Parrotfish are among the reef's inhabitants.

Visibility in excess of 120' can be expected & annual water temperatures range from 78 to 84° F. A wide variety of marine life can be observed during the dives, such as eagle rays, manta rays, turtles, tarpon & the occasional wild dolphin.
