WHAT IS the MUST-KNOW PASSPORT INFORMATION for INDONESIA?
The Indonesia National Park Authority requires each guests passport information 2 weeks prior to departure to process a required diving permit. Your passport information will be taken from the GIS and sent to the yacht. Failure to complete this could result in being denied permission to dive on the charter start date.
WHERE EXACTLY ARE RAJA AMPAT, CENDERWASIH BAY, BANDA SEA & TRITON BAY?
Located off the northwest tip of Bird's Head Peninsula on the island of New Guinea, in Indonesia's West Papua province, Raja Ampat, or the Four Kings, is an archipelago comprising more than 1,500 small islands, cays, and shoals surrounding the four main islands of Misool, Salawati, Batanta, Waigeo, and the smaller island of Kofiau. The Banda Sea is a sea in the Maluku Islands of Indonesia, connected to the Pacific Ocean and surrounded by hundreds of islands, as well as the Halmahera and Ceram Seas. Cenderawasih Bay is a large bay in the northern Province of Papua and West Papua, New Guinea, Indonesia. The western part of the bay was declared a marine national park in 2002. Triton Bay is the name given to the coastal region east of Kaimana, a small harbor town on the southwest coast of West Papua.

All staterooms are air-conditioned and fitted with private bathrooms and a porthole or picture window. Breakfast (cooked to order), buffet lunch and an elegant chef prepared dinner with tableside service are served in addition to mid-afternoon snacks. Beverages (soft beverages, local beer and wine with dinner) are complimentary while onboard. The yacht is equipped with hairdryers and bathrobes in each stateroom. Linens are changed mid-week and fresh towels are placed in each stateroom as needed. Filled tanks, weights and weight belts are included.

All rates are quoted on a share basis; therefore you will be roomed with another person of the same gender. If you would like a private room, the cost is a 65% surcharge and will guarantee you a private room.
WHAT’S the SCOOP on PASSPORTS & DOCUMENTATION?
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your period of stay and you must have a return airline ticket. It is the travelers’ responsibility to ensure they have the proper documentation to travel into each country on his or her itinerary as well as for re-entry and return to their country. Please check with the appropriate consulate to ensure you have the proper documentation. Always check your passport and visa requirements. US citizens may go to the US Department of State website at www.travel.state.gov for more information. The website also has information for consulates by country to assist with requirements. There are special requirements for children leaving the US and many countries have adopted requirements for the protection of children. WHAT’S the BEST ADVICE for TIMELY ARRIVAL?
Guests are encouraged to overnight in the port city one night prior to boarding the Raja Ampat Aggressor. Guests will be met at the airport on the charter start day and transferred to the Raja Ampat Aggressor. If guests are staying at a local hotel in the vicinity of where the yacht departs from, guests will be picked up from the local hotel at 12 noon and transferred to the yacht. After all guests are onboard, the Raja Ampat Aggressor will depart. Transfers are complimentary on the charter start/end dates.

WHAT ARE the BEST-VALUE RECOMMENDED HOTELS?
• Sorong -- Swiss Bel and Marina Mamberamo are located 10 minutes from Sorong Harbor where you will board the Raja Ampat Aggressor. There are several reasonable hotels in Sorong should you wish to arrive early and overnight before your Raja Ampat cruise. Sorong is a small city and the airport and most of the
hotels are located 10 minutes from the Sorong Harbor where you will board.
• Ambon -- Maluku Divers Resort and Dive Into Ambon Dive Resort are located 10 minutes from the airport and guests can embark and disembark safely from there. Dive Into Ambon is located 40 minutes away.
• Biak -- Hotel Asana Biak Papua is the best hotel in town. It is located 3 minutes from the airport. The hotel is located 15 minutes from where guests will board the Raja Ampat Aggressor. Biak is a small town with no tourism or resorts and is connected daily with direct flights from Jakarta and Makassar.
• Kaimana -- Kaimana Beach Hotel is new and the only hotel in town. It is located 45 minutes from the airport and 30 minutes from where guests will board the Raja Ampat Aggressor. For Kaimana trips, it is recommended to overnight in Ambon. There are daily morning flights from Ambon to Kaimana.
WHAT SORTS of TRAVEL INSURANCE ARE REQUIRED?
We strongly recommend each guest purchase comprehensive accident, medical, baggage and trip cancellation and interruption insurance when space is reserved. Trip insurance will protect you from financial disappointment if you are prevented from making your scheduled trip due to illness, family illness or in the event that unforeseen circumstances prevent the airline or yacht from making its scheduled trip.

Rupiah (IDR) is the official currency. It is required for all guests to have some local currency as departure taxes and overweight baggage charges MUST be paid in local currency. Each passenger is required to pay an airport tax at check in. Payment can only be made in local currency. The Bali Airport Domestic Tax (DPS) is 40.000 Rupiahs; Bali Airport International Tax is 200,000 Rupiahs.
HEALTH & SAFETY ON BOARD RAJA AMPAT AGGRESSOR --
The Raja Ampat Aggressor has a first aid kit onboard, including oxygen and an AED. You may want to bring motion sickness medication if you feel you will need it. We suggest you bring over-the-counter motion sickness medication or consult your doctor about prescription brands, such as the trans-dermal patch or Scopace tablets. Currents and winds may cause moderate movement of the yacht at times. We recommend a complete physical before your trip. There is a recompression chamber located in Bali. Aggressor & Dancer Fleet yachts and their staffs are unable to accept any medication brought onboard for safe keeping including those that require refrigeration. Should a guest have a medication requiring temperature control, they will need to travel with a travel cooling case or small storage cooler with several blue ice packets. The crew will be happy to store and recharge the blue ice but are unable to accept possession of or responsibility for the proper care and storage of medication. This should be kept in your stateroom. There is NO smoking allowed inside the yacht or on the dive deck. Smoking is only permitted on the sun deck.
WHAT ARE the MAIN YACHT SPEC’S of RAJA AMPAT AGGRESSOR?
The Raja Ampat Aggressor is a 100’ steel ship. Built and powered for comfort, safety and stability, she cruises at 8 knots and has 220-volt power onboard. Accommodations include 1 Master stateroom with queen bed, 2 Deluxe staterooms with one queen bed and one twin bed, and 5 Twin staterooms each with 2 twin beds in an L shape. All staterooms have portholes or picture windows, climate controls, TV’s with movies and private bathrooms. The Raja Ampat Aggressor sleeps 16 guests in privacy and comfort. She features a roomy, air-conditioned salon and dining area, and shaded sun deck complete with lounge and deck chairs. The Raja Ampat Aggressor has a TV, DVD player and stereo in the main salon. Diving amenities include Nitrox ($150 per 10 night charter), camera table, and fresh water showers. The yacht is not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen items. We highly recommend extreme caution and care be taken if you plan to travel onboard with electronic equipment. This equipment should always be stowed after use to avoid the risk of damage.
WHAT IS the FOOD LIKE ABOARD RAJA AMPAT AGGRESSOR?
The menu onboard is varied and plentiful, with a variety of Indonesian feasts and local cuisine. If you have any special dietary requirements, please be sure these are noted when completing the GIS. You will awaken to fresh fruits, hot entrees, cereals and juices. Lunches are buffet-style, featuring delicious local cuisine. Dinners are served each evening and include salads, vegetables, seafood, beef or chicken with a fresh homemade dessert. Once onboard, please speak to the chef about any special needs. Certain special dietary and beverage requests may not be available due to the remote nature of this location.
WHAT BEVERAGES ARE AVAILABLE on this LIVE-ABOARD?
The Aggressor’s selection includes fruit juices, soft drinks, iced water, iced tea, coffee, and a limited selection of local beer and wine (wine is served with dinner), which are complimentary. Due to the high duty charged on liquor, we suggest you bring your special brand from the U.S. Due to local regulations; the bar will be closed while the boat is in port. Drinking and diving do not mix. Once you consume alcohol, you become a snorkeler until the next day.
WHAT CLOTHING IS RECOMMENDED ABOARD RAJA AMPAT AGGRESSOR?
Please plan to travel light, as on all live-aboard dive yachts, space is limited. We recommend that you pack your gear in soft luggage such as a duffel bag for easy stowage and to add to your comfort in your cabin. Clothing should be lightweight, comfortable sportswear; sunscreen and swimsuits are a must. A light sweater or jacket is ideal for evenings. Dress is always casual and informal Additional items you may want to bring are sunglasses and walking shoes for you time on shore.
IS THERE ENTERTAINMENT ON BOARD RAJA AMPAT AGGRESSOR?
There is a variety of nightly entertainment, including diving, fish identification presentations, movies, games and more. If you have a favorite movie, digital presentation or a video to share, we encourage you to bring it along. The crew especially loves new releases of DVD's, movies, CD’s, recent magazines and books. A small library of books for exchange is maintained onboard as well as fish identification books for reference.
WHAT ARE DIVING CONDITIONS in the RAJA AMPAT REGION?
Each of the four itineraries offer remote pristine diving, each with something a little different. The water temperature varies from 28 - 30C/82 -86F and air temperature 25 - 27C/78 - 89F. These unique itineraries offer diving on healthy and vibrant reefs, seamounts, sheer walls, caves, beautiful coral gardens and magnificent critter dives. A 3mm wetsuit and hood is recommended. All diving is from tenders.
WHAT ARE the DAILY DIVING PROCEDURES?
The crew of the Raja Ampat Aggressor, with their unique combination of talents, offers the ultimate service. While onboard, you may pick a buddy of your choice, or dive with one of the crewmembers. The yacht offers up to four dives per day (including night dives) and depending on the weather and itinerary. The Raja Ampat Aggressor provides 80 cubic ft. tanks with DIN/yoke adaptable valves, weight belts and weights. (100 cu ft tank are available by request) All dives will be made from two dive tenders. Enjoy fresh water showers on the back deck after your dives and dry off with a warm towel. All diving onboard the Raja Ampat Aggressor should be within the limits and standards of the training agency that certified you. All dives should be planned as no-decompression dives.
WHAT ARE the CONSERVATION LAWS?
Conservation laws do not permit any spear fishing or collecting, ever. Period.
IS THERE RENTAL DIVE EQUIPMENT?
A full line of rental gear is available aboard including regulators, BCs, dive computers, and night-lights. Due to the numerous connecting flights and excess baggage charges to arrive at your final destination, we recommend renting your dive equipment onboard. The yacht offers a full Aqualung rental program onboard.
WHICH CERTIFICATION & SPECIALTY COURSES are OFFERED?
Several diving specialty courses are offered onboard including Nitrox, Advanced Open Water, UW Photography and more. Checkout dives are offered as well. A list of available courses and prices are available on our website.
WHAT PHOTO/VIDEO EQUIPMENT is SUPPORTED & AVAILABLE?
The Raja Ampat Aggressor offers a complete digital photo department. The photo pro is available for free coaching with equipment rental. The Raja Ampat Aggressor has a 110-volt strobe charging station and a large camera table available for your camera and video equipment. Guests should bring their own battery chargers. HOW DO TIPS WORK on the RAJA AMPAT AGGRESSOR?
Crew gratuities are not included in the charter. We believe gratuities should be voluntary and based upon the quality of service the crew has provided. When settling your account the Captain will have an envelope for gratuities that will be divided equally among the crew. Payment can be made by cash or credit card.
HOW the RETURN TO PORT WORKS --
The day before departure at the end of the trip, the yacht will return to port early evening. A cocktail party and dinner will be served onboard. Guests will not arrive back to port in time to fly out this day.
CHECKOUT DAY on the RAJA AMPAT AGGRESSOR --
Final disembarkation will occur the morning of the last day of the charter. Guests will be transported to the airport for a domestic flight back or to a local hotel if guests are extending their stay. If necessary, additional transfers from the Bali airport to your hotel can be purchased ahead of time by our Liveaboard Vacations Travel Department. For any guest choosing to extend their stay our staff will be happy to organize tours to give you time to off-gas and enjoy the land sites. All tours are at an additional charge, and are highly recommended.

The Raja Ampat Aggressor provides 80 cubic ft. tanks with DIN/yoke adaptable valves, weight belts and weights. (100 cu ft tank are available by request) All dives will be made from two dive tenders. Enjoy fresh water showers on the back deck after your dives and dry off with a warm towel. All diving onboard the Raja Ampat Aggressor should be within the limits and standards of the training agency that certified you. All dives should be planned as no-decompression dives.
WHAT ARE the CONSERVATION LAWS?
Conservation laws do not permit any spear fishing or collecting, ever. Period.
IS THERE RENTAL DIVE EQUIPMENT?
A full line of rental gear is available aboard including regulators, BCs, dive computers, and night-lights. Due to the numerous connecting flights and excess baggage charges to arrive at your final destination, we recommend renting your dive equipment onboard. The yacht offers a full Aqualung rental program onboard.
WHICH CERTIFICATION & SPECIALTY COURSES are OFFERED?
Several diving specialty courses are offered onboard including Nitrox, Advanced Open Water, UW Photography and more. Checkout dives are offered as well. A list of available courses and prices are available on our website.
WHAT PHOTO/VIDEO EQUIPMENT is SUPPORTED & AVAILABLE?
The Raja Ampat Aggressor offers a complete digital photo department. The photo pro is available for free coaching with equipment rental. The Raja Ampat Aggressor has a 110-volt strobe charging station and a large camera table available for your camera and video equipment. Guests should bring their own battery chargers. Please ask your LIVE-ABOARDS.COM agent for detailed information and costs of rental equipment, certification courses, and photo/video equipment. Our Video Professional can capture your diving adventure onboard the Raja Ampat Aggressor to share with family and friends. Video of the week/DVD (includes all guests and crew) are USD $65 per person.
HOW DO TIPS WORK on the RAJA AMPAT AGGRESSOR?
Crew gratuities are not included in the charter. We believe gratuities should be voluntary and based upon the quality of service the crew has provided. When settling your account the Captain will have an envelope for gratuities that will be divided equally among the crew. Payment can be made by cash or credit card.
HOW the RETURN TO PORT WORKS --
The day before departure at the end of the trip, the yacht will return to port early evening. A cocktail party and dinner will be served onboard. Guests will not arrive back to port in time to fly out this day.
CHECKOUT DAY on the RAJA AMPAT AGGRESSOR --
Final disembarkation will occur the morning of the last day of the charter. Guests will be transported to the airport for a domestic flight back or to a local hotel if guests are extending their stay. If necessary, additional transfers from the Bali airport to your hotel can be purchased ahead of time by our Liveaboard Vacations Travel Department. For any guest choosing to extend their stay our staff will be happy to organize tours to give you time to off-gas and enjoy the land sites. All tours are at an additional charge, and are highly recommended.
